It’s 8:25 p.m. on the evening of August 3, 2014. A low rumble can be heard along the Colorado River under deep blue colors of a fading day in the valley surrounding Radium, Colorado. Another coal load climbs the grade on Union Pacific’s Moffat Tunnel Subdivision. The train weaves back and forth along the meandering river, passing through Radium and Tunnel 42. Headlights pierce the young night as the train curves around a left-hand arc into the draw of ever-darkening Little Gore Canyon.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
