Six miles after departing Tilford Yard, Atlanta to Cincinnati manifest Q540 stalled. These two engines were sent to rescue the train and give it a shove past Lockair, the next signal to the north that is adjacent to the Lockheed-Martin plant and Dobbins Air Force Base. The train stalled again, so engines had to come south from Cartersville to provide extra help. By the end of this ordeal, the manifest had head- and rear-end helpers.
