HLCX 343 (GP38-2) pulls a string of hoppers past the Great Western Railway depot located in Loveland, Colorado, built in 1902 to serve the Great Western Sugar Company and handle passenger trains. The depot, now owned by OmniTrax, will be saved from the wrecking ball and will be moved to Granby, Colorado to provide a period structure for a proposed railroad museum honoring the Moffit Road line. It is great that after 113 years, the depot will again see life, hosting visitors that will no doubt appreciate the history and unique character of the building.
