With the vast expanse of the Mojave Desert in the background and a modern, unsightly, but productive eyesore in the foreground, an eastbound BNSF intermodal train negotiates the reverse curves at Warren shortly before leaving UP rails at Mojave. These giant, modern windmills have cropped up by the hundreds over the past decade and now cover most of the formerly picturesque mountains in this area.
