Reunion of Man and Machine. I had the pleasure of meeting this gentleman today at Spencer. He was the engineer assigned to 3170 to assist N&W 611 up Saluda Grade in 1992. He retired from NS after 40 years on the railroad, but came back to Spencer in his old "uniform" to be reunited with 3170 one more time.
