Sutter's Crossing.As the sun sinks lower into the afternoon sky, much of the WW&F ROW falls into deep shadow. Sutter's Crossing, which is pretty nicely lit from mid-morning to mid-afternoon starts to go away in a hurry after about 5 PM in April. Fortunately, when we arrived, there were perhaps 3 engine-lengths worth of light left for a quick run-by or two. One of the really cool things about the WW&F Museum is the fact that all of the crossings are rural, private, dirt road crossings, similar to what would have existed on the original line.
