Remarks & Notes
Milwaukee Road Brakeman Tommy Anglim and myself had walked back after our air brakes went into emergency on train 69 and I thought I saw a box car fly through the air. When we walked around the curve on the east end of the Lake George Marsh this is the first thing we saw. This was the west end of a 28 car derailment that took place at Spur172 on the LaCroasse Division of the Milwaukee Road. The derailment was 7 cars ahead of the caboose and the rear end crew was Conductor Charlie Wizner and Flagman Bob(Sugar)Kane.
