Southern Pacific SD9E 4435 and GP20E 4102 round the balloon track at the east end of the railroad's West Colton Yard in order to head west with a Hauler. Even though each of these locomotives have been rebuilt (4435 just two months before this date, and 4102 in 1975), they amount of exhaust they are spewing belies their ages (4435 in 1956 and 4102 in 1962).
