The Rio Grande Ski Train turns on the wye at Tabernash, Colorado, on December 27, 2001. The train is on a connecting track from the main line, which is against the ridge in the background, and the old main-turned-siding, which is front of the train in this view, with the connecting track forming one leg of the wye. The train would turn here and head up to Fraser siding to clear for any traffic, and wait until the appointed time to head up to Winter Park to pick up skiers for a trip home. Early in Ski Train operations with the newly-painted F40PHs, they ran elephant-style for a season or two.
