Nightfall at Swan Landing As a waxing moon makes a showing through thinning evening clouds, nighttime is descending on Canadian National’s main line at Swan Landing, Alberta. Brilliant pink tones in the clouds seen at sunset have disappeared following a setting sun, with the scenery now taking on azure colors of the blue hour. The lights of Swan Landing blink on, as does the red signals for the siding. It’s a few minutes before 10 p.m. as an eastbound freight shatters the silence as it rounds Robertson’s Curve on a waning August 9, 2016.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
