The Cane Run empties head south through "Riney", cresting the hill at MP 42 with a classic P&L consist. Unfortunately, Cane Run converted to natural gas and received their last coal train during spring of 2015. Catching daylight trains on the P&L has never been easy, but this job always offered some of the best opportunities. Better yet, it was fun to run with its typical consists of five or six 4-axles.
