Remarks & Notes
Is the Progress Rail EMD24B start of the next revolution of 4-axle locomotives? Only time will tell, but the first variation of this model is currently undergoing testing in revenue service on Pacific Harbor Lines. Equipped with a 2000HP CAT 3512C engine, the unit will be used for 3000 hours to verify that it fullfils California Air Resources Board standards. Today, it's the lead unit on the 1400 UP Dock Job as it shoves 100 empty platforms into the Evergreen facility at TICTF on Terminal Island. In the background is Badger Bridge, which connects Terminal Island to the mainland. On the left is BNSF S-LHAMEM1, which is beginning its journey to Memphis, TN.
