A low hanging layer of fog has settled in on the northern Illinois prairie as a green signal is displayed for a westbound on BNSF's Chillicothe Subdivision. These searchlights date back to the days of the AT&SF - a long life of service on the railroad. But unfortunately, the new box in the foreground is a sure sign of their coming doom...
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
