Remarks & Notes
It's a beautifully warm afternoon on this Cinco de Mayo, and here we see Amtrak's Southwest Chief as it makes its way through Apache Canyon minutes prior to reaching Lamy, NM.

The GE Genesis series are well known for being Amtrak's locomotive. With confirmation of retirement from Amtrak themselves, their time is limited. Now is your chance to catch them before the chargers arrive!

Amtrak & Via Rail, along with commuter trains go here. Also their predecessors. PS. I only like diesels or electric.
