Remarks & Notes
Throwback Power. Now resting in North Charleston, this switcher was used for a number of years on the defunct Port Royal Railroad line that ran from Yemassee to Port Royal, SC. The Port Royal rail line has been abandoned along with the idea of constructing a maritime port in Port Royal, the tracks removed, and much of the right of way converted to Rails to Trails usage. This locomotive was brought to Charleston where it rests while intermittently performing work for Palmetto Railways.
