Welcome to daylight for the first North American Genesee & Wyoming 3rd generation EMD locomotive, Providence & Worcester SD70M-2 4302. The unit was released from the paint booth today in St. Albans, Vermont and will return to the Providence & Worcester while several other units get orange paint, including the twin, 4301. Once both are completed, they will be transferred to the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad in Pennsylvania, likely by the end of July. All PPE was worn for these photos, through coordination and permission of Genesee & Wyoming and with safety briefing conducted for this photo shoot.
