What started out as a plan to shoot coal trains on the famous Santa Fe Raton Pass Subdivision turned into an unplanned busy few days of following top priority intermodal and freight that was being detoured via Raton due to a large derailment on the ATSF Transcon Line. On June 17, 1994, a Richmond, CA to Chicago, IL intermodal train is nearing the summit of Raton Pass with a quintet of warbonnets, including leader C40-8W 842, GP60M 116, C40-8W 821, and another set of GP60Ms. Scanned form K25 slide.
