An unseasonably warm and sunny day lead me to explore the Bala Cynwyd Line. SEPTAs "ugly stepchild" this line used to extend across the river and north, but now includes a mere 3 stops and is at times suggested for elimination.
If the line were ever restored, it would provide a connection between the Mainline Neighborhoods of Western Philadelphia and Norristown and Reading Valley.
