Remarks & Notes

A rainy summer evening in Scranton finds a hostler spotting his charge on the turntable for a spin. The humid air and spotty rain make for a moody, but (very) wet ambiance. This photo was part of a very successful night photo shoot at Steamtown National Historic Site in conjunction with the Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley Railway Historical Society. Lighting by Steve Barry, Michael Burkhart, Richard Jahn, and John Gabriel. Since I posed for this scene, Bruce Barry grabbed my camera and shot for me.
