Remarks & Notes

Although Hohman Interlocking was one of Chicagoland's busiest junctions, it had not seen passenger trains since Amtrak left the former Erie Lackawanna mains in the late 1970s. Due to a gas leak, traffic from Conrail's Chicago Line was diverted to the IHB for a couple days which brought Amtrak back to Hohman Tower. Tom Golden photo.
