| Trundlin' through Trion. Southern Railway Mikado #4501 takes a local freight across the Chattooga River in the town of Trion, GA. This rather interesting combination wood and steel trestle arrangement apparently dates back to the 1880s and is technically a Pratt Through-Truss Bridge. This bridge is a must-do shot for anyone who is out photographing these trains. Running pretty much north-south, it's a nice view from either side regardless of the weather. |
