Cliffside Railroad Company hauls a short freight through the woods of North Carolina traveling along the line's 3.7 mile stretch. The power for the day's run, captured in December of 1947, is the railroad's then recently acquired 2-8-0, No. 40, former Lancaster & Chester. Or, it's No. 40 present day, New Hope & Ivyland Railroad.
