Remarks & Notes
Quite possibly the longest distance manifest on the UP system, a manifest bound from CORP in Eugene, OR to Bailey Yard in North Platte, Nebraska, begins ascending the grade between Baker City and Encina, the easternmost of the three Oregon summits, the other two being Telocaset and Kamela. This train had UP 9741, one of the last CNW painted units left on the system, as the first of two rear DPUs. It is, to my knowledge, the only manifest on the OSL between Portland and Pocatello that does not terminate or originate in Hinkle.
