| 50 Years ago - SNCF 242TA68 approaches Lille with train 336, the 16.38 Tourcong to Paris Nord on September 2, 1968. The remaining examples of these 4-cylinder compound 4-8-4Ts, originally built for the Chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée from 1927, were withdrawn soon after this photo was taken. |
