Dakota, Missouri Valley & Western’s “corn train” climbs up the horseshoe curve through Lost Lake National Wildlife Refuge just south (east) of Merida, North Dakota, on August 29, 2018. The empty train has recently departed Blue Flint Ethanol located on the spur from Coal Creek Junction and is headed south on the Missouri Valley Subdivision. It will head east at Bismarck and travel to grain elevators on DMVW’s Dakota Subdivision where it will be reloaded. The train is powered by two of DMVW’s SD60Fs recently acquired from Canadian National.
