Fifteen years ago, you didn't have to wait very long for a double headed steam train to appear somewhere in the area of Jingpeng Pass. That was a good thing, as even on a sunny day winter temperatures are well below freezing, posing challenges to photographers and their equipment. Here a 2300 tonne maximum load creeps uphill towards the summit, with Mt Hadashan forming a backdrop to the action.
