A Westbound intermodal climbs a freshly-powdered Horseshoe Curve above Altoona, the early-winter sun quickly fading behind Kitanning Gap. On the east leg, in the trees, you can see the steel carcass of the PRR Kitanning Point water tower still clinging to the hillside some 6 decades since the end of steam.
