Sumpter Valley's #19 hauls a mixed freight eastbound out of Sumpter, bound for McEwen. Sumpter Valley Railway is a tourist line today, but operates on the rebuilt right of way of the original Sumpter Valley Railway in eastern Oregon. No. 19 is a 2-8-2 narrow gauge locomotive built in 1920 by Alco for the original Sumpter Valley. It, along with No. 18, another 2-8-2 narrow gauge Alco, were repatriated from the Alaska Railroad to her home in the late 1970s by a group of dedicated fans.
