Riding Off Into The Sunset. One of my last quality shots of an F59PHI on the Pacific Surfliners comes in the form of AMTK 458 leading Amtrak 777 north out of Simi Valley with some dramatic storm lighting setting the mood.

Some of the best passenger locomotives that EMD ever made (aside from the F40PH). With all Amtrak F59s gone from the Surfline, the only place that they can be seen is with Caltrans (Amtrak California).
