Remarks & Notes
IC 1003, still in black, leads A408 south at Arcola on a blistery Sunday morning. If you want to follow all traffic laws on the road, chasing a <50 car CN train south at track speed isn't very easy! After getting my picture of 408 at Pesotum, the next shot I got was here at Arcola, a town 17 miles south.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
