| View from the signalbox of Swithland Sidings on the double track Great Central Railway (GCR), with a freight passing pulled by 2-8-0 steamlocomotive # 48624 of Staniers 8F class ex LMS in British Rail black paint scheme. This locomotive was built in 1943 by the Ashford Works and was withdrawn in 1965. Restored to working order in 2009. |
