On a beautiful Spring morning, "Skookum", a 2-4-4-2 Mallet Baldwin steam locomotive built in 1909, is pulling a string of empty log-carrying wagons along Nehalem Bay, at the mouth of the Nehalem River on the Pacific Ocean.
