On a beautiful Saturday evening, a northbound Rocky Mountaineer special rolls north through the countryside near Stanwood with a friendly crew on the controls. Amtrak have leased out one of their P32-8BWHs to Rocky Mountaineer for this year's Seattle-Vancouver B.C run while they're working on finalizing PTC on two of their GP40-2Ws. According from my source, it is my understanding that RMR got the software/equipment installed, but it needed to finalize insurance, testing, and inter-operation agreement before the GP40s with PTC will be allowed to operate on the BNSF line.
