Tremont & Gulf 2-8-2 No. 30 leads its train past a stopped Southern Pacific local Charterville, Louisiana. In actuality, this scene was captured at Rusk, TX along the Texas State Railroad ROW and features former T&G #30 along side the railroad's 1947 built Alco RS2, former Union Railroad, now in a Southern Pacific inspired livery. Both railroads at one time had service in the state of Louisiana, but neither interchanged with each other. The SP livery was also worn by the Texas & New Orleans Railroad - the railroad that leased the original Texas State Railroad ROW from 1921 to 1962. Part of a Lerro Productions charter.
