Remarks & Notes

A westbound Santa Fe freight is about to hit the diamonds at Colton, California, on February 19, 1986. This train, led by U36C 8755, is on Santa Fe's Third District, heading to Los Angeles, and it about to cross the Southern Pacific's "Sunset Route." The Interstate 10 overpass provides a nice sun shield for the westbound signals protecting the crossing.
