As Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District train 14 departs the Michigan City, Indiana, station, the engineer for one of the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad's freights climbs aboard GP38-2 2004 (along with 2007) to begin the day's work. Commuter train 14 is heading from South Bend Airport (South Bend IN) to Millennium Station (Chicago IL), and the freight train GP38-2s will follow it west to pick up and switch its train.
