On August 7, Pan Am Railways operated an office car special from Ayer, Massachusetts, to Mechanicville, New York, with Norfolk Southern officials inspecting the jointly-owned portion of Pan Am Southern’s Patriot Corridor. The OCS-07 consisted of PAR’s FP9A duo, PAR-1 and 2, along with sleeper ST 103, “Syd Culliford”, ST 102 Dome “BlueBird”, ST office car 101 and ST office car 100. The stars aligned for sun and train timed perfectly at North Pownal, VT, complete with waterfalls!
