On Monday, August 19th, Norfolk & Western steam returned to the NS Roanoke District for the first time in well over a decade. This line was made famous by O Winston Link, and boasts a variety of scenic shots, as well as many N&W relics which still remain today. Seen passing the iconic shot at "Solitude," N&W 611's ferry move to Strasburg passes a Norfolk & Western CPL.
The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia boasts some impressive scenery and trains, some of the best in the state. This album is for all photos taken in the Shenandoah Valley.
