A successful 1st Annual Founder Day's come to a close, and the crowd has gone home, now its was a perfect time to get a shot of both the Southern Rwy E8A 6914, and Norfolk Southern's SD60E 911 standing side by side at the display yard at the Tennessee Valley Railroad's Grand Junction. I personally like what is staged here, cause you really get an excellent glimpse a 32 year gap between both Electro-Motive Division product, even though NS 911 was a Juniata shop rebuilt from 2014, the older product itself was dated back to 1985 when 911 was originally NS 6577. From six axles pulling some of the most prestige passenger trains to six axles hauling freight, locomotives technology has most definitively came a long way.
