Remarks & Notes
These old Pennsylvania Railroad position-light signals have served the Pennsylvania, Penn Central, Conrail and Norfolk Southern for over 80 years. Sadly, they will be taken out of service and removed the next day, on September 22, 2019. This is the westbound signal bridge on NS's Fort Wayne Line in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, on September 21, 2019. The new replacement signals will be hoisted into place once the top of this signal bridge is cut free and these classic signals are lifted away, allowing the new cantilever signals to be installed on their new support structure, already in place.
