Water on both sides. Astor Cove is a great location on the Hudson River, with a history replete with the story of the Guilded Age of American Industry that dovetails with the development of the railroads in this area. Amtrak 48 (Lake Shore Limited, P32AC-DM 707, Phase III leading) glides over the welded rail approaching Rhinecliff Station on the afternoon of September 29, 2019, tracing the trail of the 20th Century Limited and predecessor Chicago to New York Trains that the New York Central Railroad operated for over a century.
