Passing the Barstow, California’s impressive Santa Fe passenger station/Harvey House, named Casa del Desierto, is a Union Pacific 23-car passenger train powered by “Big Boy” 4014. The big 4-8-8-4 and its train has just unloaded its passengers (a fan trip from West Colton Yard to Barstow) and is now heading to Yermo to spend the night on home rails. (October 12, 2019)
