Remarks & Notes
On the afternoon of March 19, 1997, an eastbound freight drops downgrade out of Plainview, Colorado, on Union Pacific’s newly acquired Moffat Tunnel Subdivision. The train is powered by a pair of EMD SD50s and a pair of EMD SD40T-2s, with one each in Southern Pacific and Rio Grande liveries. Lead locomotive SP No. 5516 is a repainted Rio Grande SD50.
