On christmas eve, the iconic double red arrow "Churchill-Pfeil" RAe 4/8 # 1021 of the SBB from 1939, made a festive round trip with about 100 guests, eating and drinking on the train. The 4 hours journey was from Zürich main station via Killwangen-Würenlos-Regensdorf-Bülach-Eglisau to Schaffhausen, and back via Andelfingen-Winterthur-Wallisellen to Zürich. The vehicle was decorated with LED-stripes on the roof edge and on the lower part of the body. Now the "Churchill-Pfeil" stopped for a few seconds on the 177 meter long bridge above the Rhine fall, between Neuhausen and Laufen castle. The stone arch bridge is part of the railway line from Schaffhausen via Andelfingen to Winterthur and was built in 1856. In the moment, about 382 m3 (or 100'000 gallons) water per second are falling down 23 meter and forming the 150 meter wide Rhine falls. The flow of water is slightly over the average in the moment.
