After a brief stop for a red block at the Fullerton train station, BNSF Railway train S-LBESTL1-16 is on the move once again as it passes through Fullerton Junction, where Metrolink's Orange Subdivision (The two tracks mid-photo) splits from BNSF's San Bernardino Subdivision (in the background) – the single train in the foreground is Metrolink’s dead-end line into the Fullerton station. This train’s locomotive consist includes, besides Dash 9-44CWs 5056 and 4644, visiting Norfolk Southern SD70ACe 1067 – the NS's Reading Heritage engine. (For those keeping score at home, BNSF ES44DCs 7768 and 7399 are on the rear.) The Reading engine spent most of November and much of December on the BNSF, primarily on intermodal trains operating on the Chicago to Los Angeles "transcon."
