A Union Pacific local sits in the center median of Torrance Boulevard as its cars are unloaded on May 30, 2008. This is the Union Pacific's Torrance Industrial Lead, originally part of the sprawling Pacific Electric interurban system. UP "GP38-2" 1075 was built as Rio Grande GP40 3053 (later numbered UP 2574), and it is teamed with SW1500 Y1199 (ex-UP 1199, nee-SP 2657).
