| DXB 5108 assists 9515 on a train of timber and paper products bound for the port of Napier crossing Kopua Viaduct. The DL class was built by CNR Dalian from 2010. Though well regarded by train crews, they are disliked by many rail fans who prefer the GE and EMD locomotives that have been the backbone of NZ locomotive power for over forty years and are now being slowly replaced by the DL. |
