A westbound Union Pacific coal empty climbs out of the great plains working upgrade leaving Leyden, Colorado, as the sun rises on January 23, 2005. This location is at mile 14.5 miles west of Denver on the railroad’s former Rio Grande Moffat Tunnel Subdivision.
