A Columbia, WI, empty coal train rolls along the Mississippi River on the CP Marquette Sub about 45 miles south of La Crescent. CP and UP jointly move these trains from Wyoming to the power plant near Portage, WI. The trains are interchanged between railroads at Clinton, IA.
