Dual-ing bridges. On the afternoon of Friday, December 1, 2017, Norfolk Southern Corp Train 28N crosses the "old" Genesee Arch Bridge in Letchworth State Park near Portageville, NY. The matched set of 9905(C44-9W)/NS 9023 (C44-9W) leads over the span as the bridge is already in its final days. Opened by the Erie Railroad on July 31, 1875, it would see its last train on the early morning hours of December 11, 2017, and would be replaced by the new span in the foreground later the same day.
